MOTS-C 40mg

A sixteen-amino-acid peptide encoded not in the cell's nucleus but in the mitochondria's own DNA, one of a small class of mitochondrial-derived peptides. It acts as a metabolic regulator: via AMPK and the folate cycle it shifts cells toward burning fuel efficiently, and in mice it prevented diet-induced obesity and insulin resistance and improved exercise capacity. Levels fall with age and rise with exercise, and it is studied as an exercise mimetic and for metabolic ageing. Available in 10mg, 20mg and 40mg.
