A growth-hormone-releasing-hormone analogue fitted with a Drug Affinity Complex, a chemical group that binds the peptide to albumin in the blood so it circulates for around a week instead of minutes. The result is a sustained rise in growth hormone and IGF-1 rather than a brief pulse: in human studies a single dose raised GH two- to ten-fold and IGF-1 one-and-a-half- to three-fold for days. It is studied and used where a steady, low-maintenance elevation of the GH axis is wanted — recovery, body composition and age-related decline in GH output.
